Richard Rost MVPHello. My name is Richard Rost and I'm the president of Computer Learning Zone. I'm here to help answer your questions.

Customer Service

If you're having a problem with your order, need to know what topics are covered in what class, or have general questions about the site or my products, then please email me. Customer service questions are always answered FREE of charge. You can even post a comment at the bottom of this page.

My email address is amicron@gmail.com.

IMPORTANT: to make sure your message gets to me, please click on that link above. There's a special code in it that bypasses my spam filter and makes sure you reach my inbox.

I generally get back to people by the following business day. Yep, it's just me here right now, but I do my best. Here's a hint: if you want a FAST response, type a SHORT email. Honestly, if I get your email and it's fifteen paragraphs that I have to read through, I'll usually "snooze" it until I have the time to read it. Want a faster response? Keep it brief. Sorry. I get a LOT of emails every day, and it's just me answering them right now.

Technical Support

If your question is not customer service, but is technical in nature, such as specific questions about Access, Excel, VB, etc., then submit them to me via my TechHelp page. There are free and paid options available to answer questions of all type. I also offer Consulting Services for custom projects.

Hi Richard, after being overwhelmed by sub-par Access learning materials online (either they would be too basic for what I need, or would explain complicated material assuming I had background knowledge which I do not have) I was excited to find one of your developer videos on YouTube and decided to spring for your paid courses here. I am familiar with using Access to enter data, but creating a new database has been a challenge for me. Read More...

Hi Danielle. You're not alone. While I try to make it so that my courses stand alone, there's really no way around cumulative instruction. For example, if you go sit in a college Math 301 course to learn Calculus and you haven't been to 101 and don't know basic arithmetic, you're going to have a rough time. That being said, I would recommend picking up the course you think you need and if you're lost, go back one lesson. Usually the topics are grouped together so things like "action queries" are all covered right around each other.

I do strongly recommend taking the lessons in order to get the most out of them, but if budget is a concern, I do have a membership option available where you get a new lesson every week (or whatever interval you like) at a 50% discount: Learning Connection.

Wow. That's an old one. I have no idea what's on it because I haven't kept any CDs that old. I've got a few of the newer ones here on my shelf, but nothing that old. I stopped shipping CDs last year. In any case, you can always download your courses from your My Account page. You don't need the CD. In fact, I don't even have the passwords for the ZIP files on that CD. I used to rotate them every once in a while (hence the version number).

Hi John. I'm working on the site today. See the little yellow banner at the top of the site. If it's there, it will let you know if I'm doing maintenance. If that's the case, orders might not process right away. But thanks for letting me know. As soon as you made me aware, I processed your order for you manually. Enjoy the lessons!
