Lesson 1. Easy Access POS Part 1: Database Structure (30:14)

We will begin by learning about the database we're going to be building: The Easy Access POS. We'll talk about the features it will have, see the layout of the screens, and discuss possible future upgrades. When thinking about reports... We always compare to track trends month to month.  There are plenty of ways to compare but most important to us are monthly, weekly, or daily.  Within that we like same day, or week, last year. Most managers I know use Excel to compare. We typically take POS data and I enter it into Access to generate custom reports.

The only comment I can add to the POS is adding pictures to the food items that makes it easy for users who do not have the command of English language and expediency. You are the expert and you are doing an excellent job Mr. Rost. Keep the good work going.  one more thing the less details about the customers the better. Read More...

It will most likely be something we add in after the class is built. I see your point. Let's get it functional first, and then add this as an option.

Love the new format and how you plan a database. I also love how you are incorporating touch screen and signature i just added a text box field on a project i was working on. I would love to have you have a class on sql server and attaching the database to a sql server.
