Header Control Box Settings Link

Richard, I must apologise for asking this question, I should know the answer! In a number of your forms, the header control box your text is centralised, for example your form PersonF, and some of your background colours are also changed to black. Are the settings in the property tables, if so where, please give me a clue. Thank you.

I'm not following you. Could you point out a specific video and time index so I can see what you mean. What do you mean by "header control box?" As far as colors go, no, those are never set in the table. Colors and other formatting are specified in form design.

Sorry for my lack of knowledge; Genealogy Seminar Part 1, Video = Calculate Age, Lesson 4. If you look at the form ""PersonF" that is being developed (Time 2:21). the very top section, above the form and page header. How do you centralise the word "PersonF" and how do you change the colour in this section?

OK, see it's much better if I can SEE what you're talking about. That helped me perfectly. What you're describing is the form's CAPTION. It is always centered by default. You can't change that alignment. You can change what displays there by editing the Caption property of the form in design view. You also can't change the color of that Title Bar either. It's set at the Windows level. You would have to change your Windows color scheme in order to edit that, and it's going to happen for ALL of your forms.

Not sure what you mean about the background colors changing to black though. Do you mean the background of the individual text boxes?

Here's a TechHelp video for you Anthony: Custom Form Backgrounds. I paraphrased your question, but it's basically what you were asking about. I actually discovered something myself while looking into this: you can't even change the titlebar color in Access by changing your Windows color scheme. That used to be an option, but it's not anymore.
