Can I set up access to generate reports automatically as I add new records through forms?

Missing Data Link

I want to track the age of students in my database and I used SQL DateDiff for this calculation which works fine in my student form, but the data doesn't show up in my student table for some reason. I also want to track which grade the students should be in according to their birth date but I can't figure out how to do this.

Forms and Subforms Link

I am setting up a database to keep track of Sunday School Students. I have a table with the father's info, a parent detail table with the mother's info and a table for the students. All three are in a relationship with referential integrity enforced. I have built three separate forms and I want to have one form where I can see the father, mother and students who belong to these parents. I have the father's Form and two sub-forms with the mother and students. When I want to add a New record, it only lets me enter info for the father and mother but not the student. Access tells me I can't create this record because there is missing data in the parent detail table, or the parent table, but there is because I just entered it. Then when I go back to my tables, the parent info is saved even though it said I couldn't create this record, but nothing for the student.

I'm attempting to introduce and integrate Access into a friend's business.  Immensely enjoy your lessons and would appreciate if you can find time to instruct how to set up a network environment. Read More...

I built a database in which every record has a date of birth (European notation: dd-mmm-yyyy)
What query criteria must I use to show all dates of birth for one specific year?
