Read Back to Security Seminar by Scott Adkins @ 7/27/2012
Originally, I put in the login button, just like the seminar. I tried moving it everywhere, and nothing seemed to work.

I could also manually open the main menu form and create/detroy with the buttons, then if I close the main menu form, the login form would work like it is supposed to.

The only thing I wonder, is if it may have had something to do with the way the constants were intializing and when the recordsets run. I dunno....
I dont know about the folders, maybe there is still something there. It did the same from computer to computer though.

Reply from Richard Rost:

That's pretty strange. I'd have to tear apart your database to figure out exactly what the problem is (if only I had the time). But the important thing is that you've got it working.

Boy I really hope someone knows the why of this!!????

Ok, to all that keep up with this forum, I have been having troubles getting table links to import from the encrypted database.

Thanks to those who offered suggestions, but I wanted to tell everyone what fixed it.

All the while, I could get the links with a command button, but not automatically with the code in the security seminar.

Because it worked there, I was sure the code was good.

Well, tonight on a whim, I put the code to create and delete the links in the login form.

Now it works perfectly! Can someone help me understand this??

Reply from Richard Rost:

That's very strange. Where did you have the code before? In global module? All I can think of is perhaps its a permissions problem.
