I took all of the 2003 Developer 301 lessons. My member page is like the customer page but with general info that I needed, name, address, email, area rep, etc. the order page is where
I place their convention info. one from 2016 and now a new one for 2017. I notice when I was writing this reply is that I am using a Macro.
On my Members page I have a button that I use to open the reservation page (order page). This is how the button works.
MemberF: Command167: OnClick
Open Form (RegOrderF, Form,,= "[MemberID]= "& [MemberID] "Normal)
GoToRecord (,, New,)

in 2016 I had 1 members data and 1 registration page. In 2017, same member with a new registration order I now have 2 members page (identical data info.) with the 2017 order number. I can move back to the 2016 order but on the members page, when I scroll, it now list 2 member pages. I hope this help.

Would it be possible to take some pictures and share them on flickr or similar, redact any info?
What query are you using to display the members?
How are members added?
If you just need to mark them by year have another table, a junction table, to store what year(s) they're attending.

I hope I can get this question answered. I have my database for the members of our organization and every year we hold a convention. 2016 was the first year using access to handle my registration. The 2016 registration went well. Now I'm setting up for the 2017 convention. I learned how to place a second order from one of the 2003 Developer301 series, so it might be answered when that lesson becomes available. My problem is that when I place a reservation to a member who was at the 2016 convention and they want to attend the 2017 convention, I can place the registration but it now shows two member pages. Ex: If I do a report of our members, if that member was at the 2016 and the 2017 convention their members page will be listed twice. I don't think that is right. It's like having two data entries for the same person. How can I fix it. My convention is in November.

Reply from Alex Hedley:

Which Developer lesson are you waiting for?

So you have a record showing a user was at the convention in 2016, they are now at the 2017 as well are you wanting another record to show this?
Is it the same details on the year has changed? You might want a table that stores the years then a junction table to say MemberID | YearID and base reports on that.

I have a file for all of my members. I am the registration chair and I built this program for the 2016 convention and it is working well. During the 2016 convention when I received an order I went to the order page to place the order. This year when I order the reservation for the 2017 convention, I can place the order, however, it now shows 2 member information. Now I have two of the member data. How can I fix it? I only want 1 member page with 1 or 2 or 3 etc. order pages, IE: 2016, 2017 or 2016, 2017,2018 or 2017 only, etc. Just one members page plus each new order. Thanks.
