Welcome to 2013
By Richard Rost   Richard Rost on Facebook Richard Rost on Twitter Richard Rost on Google Plus Richard Rost on LinkedIn Email Richard Rost

I hope everyone has fully recovered from the holiday season. We had a great time with friends and family. Cheers to everyone for a prosperous 2013.

Since just before Christmas time my inbox has been OVERFLOWING with all kinds of different requests and questions. I've spent more time over the past month answer email than ever before. Yes, yes, yes... it's time to hire a full-time assistant... but that just means I have to spend even MORE time training someone. Ugh.

In any case, I'm a little behind schedule (thanks, Holidays) but lots of great stuff is coming down the pipe. Almost finished with the Windows 8 class (you know, the one I wanted to have finished BEFORE Christmas?). Outlines are finished for the first couple Access 2010 Expert classes.

Plus, over the holidays I built a couple of specialty databases for customers that I'll be sharing with you over the next couple of days. I'll be posting the databases themselves online for you to look at - with a quick HOW TO USE video. Whether or not I make full seminars on how to BUILD them will depend on user interest. The first one is a database I just built on amortizing loans (yes, yes, I covered the basics in Access 324, but this one has ALL of the details).

Stay tuned... lots more to come...

Welcome to 2013 Comment from James G @ 1/10/2013
Welcome back Rick, hope your down time was refreshing and enjoyable.  Selfishly we all want to come to the guru for advice and it seems like your following is growing exponentially.  Good problems to have in my opinion at least from a business standpoint.  I did take time to answer your survey sent you yesterday I believe.  I would like to make sure that the seminar you had planned to go over barcoding with access is still in the works, that is the final module I need to address in my ambulance database...Anyway welcome back and thanks for all that you do for us.

Reply from Richard Rost:

Ah yes... the barcode seminar. I do want to put that together too. There hasn't been a TON of interest in it, which is why it wasn't on that short list... but that's one of those seminars that I think people will like (and buy) once it's available. I hope to record it soon. I have my barcode scanner sitting right here in my drawer, just waiting to get out. :)
