STILL Working on Windows 8.1
By Richard Rost   Richard Rost on Facebook Richard Rost on Twitter Richard Rost on LinkedIn Email Richard Rost   8/17/2014 10:14:27 AM

textCan you believe I'm STILL working on the Windows 8.1 Level 1 class? The Level 1 classes take the most time to produce because I really can't record with the relaxed style I use in my more advanced classes. Mostly, the Level 1 classes are taken by people who are brand new to a topic (in this case, many may be brand new to using computers in general) so extra care must be taken to make sure every video is PERFECT and things are explained in details. I've been recording several hours each day for the past few WEEKS and I'm only about half done with it. Granted, I did add a lot of additional material from my old Windows 101 class that was NOT previously in Windows 8 Beginner 1. A lot of it was old information that needed to be updated.

Now, unfortunately, I have to go out of town tomorrow for a week on business, so this project is going to be put on hold for a little while. I will finish it, plus Windows 8 Level 2, when I return. Look for these classes plus Access Expert 25 the week of September 1st.

For those of you who are interested in this class, here's the outline of what it entails. You can see what I've finished so far and what still has yet to be recorded. The times listed on the NEW videos are the actual times. The times listed for the videos I haven't recorded yet are the old Windows 8 class times.

Hi Rick, my circumstances were quite different. Since we have a slow internet connection, i had to buy a CD with Windows 8.1 otherwise downloading >3.5GB would be next to impossible. This was probably the cause of my problem because on another computer where i downloaded from the Windows store, this issue never happened. Read More...
