I've been getting a lot of requests from students lately for a seminar on putting together effective dashboards for Microsoft Excel.
Dashboards can be very simple (such as a few charts to show a summary of information elsewhere in your workbook) or they can be very advanced (with drop-down lists, control options, etc.) I've only really scratched the surface of how to do some of these things in my current Excel classes.
