Well, the Windows 8.1 Update class is taking a little longer to prepare for than I anticipated. That's going to be pushed back a week or so, unfortunately. I might record a short video outlining the differences between it and Windows 8, and then release the full class when it's finished.
Since the VAST majority of Windows 8.1 Update is the same as Windows 8, I was just going to keep most of the videos from the original class and then splice in the changes - but I can't find my original AVI files! I've looked everywhere. They're on NONE of my backups, and I have several redundant backups (in-house and off-site). I must have deleted them because I've found OLDER courses that are in my backup folder, but Win8 is not there. In fact, I do kind-of remember having an "oops" moment a few years ago and deleting the original AVI recordings. Oh well... no biggy... but that's why Windows 8.1 Update is delayed. Look for it by the end of the month.
Anyhow, I don't want to keep all of my Access students waiting for the next release. My Access students are my top priority, and my goal is to release a new Access class at least every two weeks. Access 23 was released on the 3rd, so you've had plenty of time to digest that one. I'll be working on 24 today. Hope to have it ready by tomorrow night.

P.S. Oh, and for those of you who are interested in the new Windows 8.1 Update class, if you've already purchased my Windows 8 Beginner Level 1 class, you'll get a FREE upgrade. I'm also recording Levels 2 and 3 at the same time, so there will be more lessons available as well. There are some really good enhancements in the latest version of Windows. They've added the Start Button back and there are a bunch of interface improvements. I'll be posting a complete list of them soon.
P.P.S. If you want to make sure you have the most recent version of Windows 8 on your machine, go to your Start Menu and if you see a search icon (and possibly a power icon) next to your name in the upper-right corner, then you have Windows 8.1 Update. If you don't, then you have a previous version of Windows - possibly regular Windows 8, or just the normal Windows 8.1. The latest version is called Windows 8.1 Update and it's FREE for all Windows 8 users. You can get it from the Windows Update app in the Windows Store.
