This class picks up where PowerPoint 101 left off. Major topics in this course include:
  • Editing Slides
  • Custom Color Schemes
  • Custom Bullets & Numbered Lists
  • Line Spacing & Tab Stops
  • Using Tables
  • Object Linking & Embedding
  • Speaker's Notes
  • Printing Notes, Slides, Handouts

We'll talk more about different techniques for editing slides. We'll cover custom color schemes, custom bullets, numbered list styles, line spacing, formatting paragraphs, the format painter, and setting tab stops so you can control the distance from the bullets to the paragraph text.

Next we'll cover a very important concept: using Tables. We'll talk about tables for displaying data, as well as using them for the layout of your slides. I'll show you how to insert rows and columns, merge and split cells, change borders and colors, and more. I'll also show you how to use the pencil and eraser tools to draw custom tables.

We'll then learn how to take tables from Microsoft Excel and Paste Link them into PowerPoint so that if the original data in Excel changes, our presentations are automatically updated (yes, no more having to update your slides every time you go to a trade show!)

Next we'll talk about Speaker's Notes: what they are, how to create them, and what they're used for. We'll talk about printing your notes, and printing your actual slides and handouts.
