You can teach a student a lesson for a day; but if you can teach him to learn by creating curiosity, he will continue the learning process as long as he lives.

Sharing Courses

Can I share courses with friends, family, co-workers?

Personal Use

If you purchased my lessons for your own personal use, to be viewed at home, then there is no limit on the number of times or devices on which you may watch your lessons (PC, laptop, phone, etc.). In addition, you have permission to share with other people in your immediate family only. You may share the lessons with your spouse/partner and children that live with you, however, beyond that I ask that you purchase additional licenses. Please do not give your courses to friends, colleagues, etc.

Business Use

If you are using my courses in a business setting, or they were purchased for you by a company, then there is still no limitation on the number of times or devices you can watch your lessons. However, my courses are sold on a per-user basis, which is strictly enforced for business users. You may not buy one copy of a class and "share it around the office." This is unfair to me. I have excellent volume discounts available if you wish to train multiple users in your company.

Book v. Movie Analogy

Don't think of my videos like a book that you can read once and then hand off to the next user. Consider my videos like a movie that you go to watch in the theater, or a live training session that you attend. Once it's over, you're done, and you can't share the experience with other people. My licensing model is better than that because you can keep watching your lessons over and over again.

It's simply not fair to me for a company to buy, for example, one copy of my Excel Beginner lessons and then train their entire staff of 100 users on it. It would cost you a lot more to send them to classroom training, and books just don't deliver the same quality learning experience.

Site Licensing

I don't generally offer site licenses. This is where you can pay one price and then train as many people as you want in one particular location. I prefer a volume licensing model where each user gets their own logon and password. It's easier to track, each user gets their own account on my server, and they can participate in discussions, post in Forums, take quizes, etc.
