Science is an attempt, largely successful, to understand the world... Microbiology and meteorology now explain what only a few centuries ago was considered sufficient cause to burn women to death.
Rick, I have built a database with several hundred academic institutions in it. The addressees would be Name, University, School/Department, Department, Street1, etc. There may be as many as four or even five different Addressee lines. I know that is customizable, but I hope you are going to show us how to fill those lines without having to type them in every time.
My thinking is that the Addressee lines will only be used if you want to change the way correspondence is printed. For example, you're a school, and you've got Joe Smith as the Entity. However, as a matter of courtesy, he would like printed correspondence to come to the house as "Joe and Sue Smith," or even "The Parents of Bobby Smith."
Another example: you have Peter Williams as a contact for XYZ Company, but he has requested that printed correspondence come to him as "Peter Williams, Accounts Payable."
Addressee1 and 2 will override the default setting which is going to be the person's name followed by the company name. We haven't gotten that far yet to do anything that involves printing (letters, invoices, etc.)
