Image question Upload Images   Link   Email
Tim Schmidt
I purchased your Imaging Seminar, let me ask if I did something that was not proper.  I have a folder on my desk top caked Pictures where my jpgs reside.

I made a EmployeeT   within it is some fields named PicID, a field called PicLoc which is a text field, in which  the default value is  the path to the Picture folder on my desktop  plus an extre \.
Will say: C:\Users\ts092\OneDrive\Desktop\Pictures\

I have a field named PicName. Which is where you place the name of a picture from my Picture folder in the EmployeeF

I have a calculated field name TruPic which is not visable,  it is a text field which is the PicLoc+ PicName+.jpg.
This gives me the path of any picture in my Picture folder plus the image name.
Will say C:\Users\ts092\OneDrive\Desktop\Pictures\joe.jpg. for the picture name of joe.

In the form named EmployeeF I have the  control source of EmployeeT  On this form  I have have a field of PicName  Here you place the oicture name of joe for example  and you get the joe.jpg  picture to appear in a image control box.  The soure code in the image box  is TruPic Since TruPic is the path of the Picture folder and an extra \ plus the PicName the image aooears.

As  long as you know the picture name, you place  this in the form EmployeeF  in the field named PicName   the picture will display.    If a new record is added in the EmployeeF and a valid picture name from the Pictue folder is put in the PicName field a picture will appear.

When scrolling between records a different image will appear if the PicName field is entered with a valid picture name in the Picture folder.  If you have read all of this,  thanks.
I find it works for me without entering any code.

Is this what you were trying to solve in your last question? This will work fine youre just setting a picture location, but you had said random before.

Yep. A lot of the imaging seminar was recorded before the new Images technique was available.
