Taking Richard's advice after almost 2 decades with goDaddy...  The final straw is occurring this month with all of their customers with email plans being forced to switch to Office 365.  That's like telling me that I have to wear a mask everywhere!  At least I still live in Texas with "limited" State government that knows it's residents are educated enough to know the risks and be responsible for their own actions.

Yeah, GoDaddy used to be real good. I was with them for 11 years. Now they blow chunks. And yes, I prefer keeping everything separate. I keep my domains registered with Hover. My hosting is now WinHost. My file storage is at Wasabi with backup service at AWS. My CC processing is thru PayPal. This way I'm not beholden to one company for everything.

And yes, although I do have my 599cd.com and amicron.com domains set up with email "catch all" accounts, I pretty much only use those for server-based emails (order notifications, mailing list stuff, etc.) I use Gmail for all of my one-on-one correspondence. Again, I like to keep things separated. If my domain goes down, I can still get email.

I remember "back in the day" you were considered unprofessional if you didn't have an email address @yourdomain.com but it seems today even top execs use Gmail. LOL
