I have a HR database that has a data sheet with many text columns, which are not always of immediate interest to the user.  How can I create a form with multi-select list boxes(similar to Access Developer 15) to allow the user to toggle which fields to show or hide on the form data sheet?

I would also like to add up and down arrows for the displayed columns to enable the user to change the order of the columns on the form.

Very good questions. This would definitely involve some serious coding and would make an excellent topic for a future Developer class. I'll add it to my list! Thanks.

The user can already resize, rearrange, and even hide columns on a datasheet by manipulating the column edges and column headings, and the process is quite intuitive; so you probably wouldn't need VBA for that.  But what is not intuitive is unhiding hidden columns: you have to "resize" a hidden column by dragging an invisible column edge.  Anyone who's done that knows what a strange experience that is.  That's something that could be improved with VBA, maybe with checkboxes on the main form that hide or unhide columns, which I believe Richard has shown in his videos.

Yeah, I really hate allowing users to work with datasheets though. I dunno... I just find them problematic. I like using either list boxes or continuous forms.
