On my invoices I always put an Item field. Item 1, Item 2 etc. When I try to use Count() to create this every item field in my continuous form gets the same value. How do I create such a counter?

Doesn't seem to work. I need a counter that fills in the item field with 1 for the first item, 2 for the second and so on

It does not need to go into any table, just on the form.

Got it. Can only use it in a report, not a continuous form. That is fine, thanks.

Here's how I would do it in a Form. For new records you would get a #Error so use the IIF Function.
