Site Has Multiple Buildings Upload Images   Link   Email
Ramona Woitas
I am trying to wrap my head around how I need to set up our site within the ABCD Database.  Any suggestions would be extremely appreciated.

SCENARIO - SITE Contains 5 Buildings
- Each Building has 1 or more Programs in it
- Programs are either Admin, Open, Secure
- Each Building / Program has a Supervisor
- Each Supervisor can Supervise more than 1 building

WHAT I WANT TO BE ABLE TO DO
- Program 1 - Is in Building 1 - Supervisor 1
- Program 2 - Is In Building 1 - Supervisor 2
- Program 3 - Is in Building 2 - Supervisor 3

When New Staff Starts
- I want to be able to pick the building
- Then then the Program and Supervisor Auto Populates
- For that New Staff

Then if a Supervisor Changes
- I only have to change it in 1 place

SHOULD I:
- Create a Building Sub Form / Tab Label
- Add Each Building as an Entity
- ???

I don't fully understand what your terms mean, but it sounds to me like buildings could be Groups. But again, I don't really get what you're trying to do.

Also, keep in mind that the ABCD is meant to be a starting point. You can customize it however you want. Add a programs table and a building table if you want.

This thread is now CLOSED. If you wish to comment, start a NEW discussion in ABCD.
