You want to use a button instead of the double-click event? Sure. That should work fine. Just put little buttons next to each of the fields you want to do that with. I used to use little buttons too for searching on fields until I decided I preferred dblclick events.

Thank you for letting me know.  Can you make a helptech video how to do that with the buttons.  I already have combo boxes in my form already I double click on the combo box and had item to the list and I close the helperF and tab off the field that I was adding item to.  I have dbl clickk event and on got focus event for the combo boxes.

It's the exact same code. Instead of running it from the DblClick event of the text box, you add a button and put the same code in the OnClick event of that button. If you don't know how to do this, you should watch Access Developer 1. I think part of the problem is you're jumping WAY ahead of yourself trying to modify the ABCD. As I've said in every video since Lesson 1 of the ABCD, this is a Developer-Level project using the most advanced techniques, and it's NOT a teaching database. You've got a lot to learn yet before you start modifying it successfully. You're still in the Expert classes. Finish those. Get some Developer lessons under your belt. Then come back to the ABCD. You're just going to get frustrated. That would be like me trying to learn how to fly a 747 before a little single-engine. :)

I truly understand what you are saying.  I  know I'm still learning and still in expert level.  I know i will get up there to developer.  I undwerstand that I'm in the middle of expert level then will be advanced the developer.  I truly, definitely understand.  I was just curoius when I do get more adavanced I just wanted to know it work.  I got the next level of expert going to start watching.  I trust you what you are saying to me explaining to me about learning.  I know you are not be rude and trying to explain to me.  I undwerstand where you are coing from.  I know that as I learn I will ove up.
