I have a Table on my SQL Server that has a Rich Text field. I am using a pass-through query to display the field in a list box on a form. Is there a function that will convert the Rich Text to Plain Text that I can use in the Pass-Through Query?

Does the PlainText() function work? Not sure if it does in a PT Query.

It does not work in a PT Query. That is the first thing I tried. I have found several options on google that seem to use a functions that has to be added to SQL Server. I have not been able to make any of these options work yet. I guess its a little above my skill level. For now i simply eliminated the field from the list box and added a Rich text box that Dlookups the text I want on the List box onclick event. It actually works pretty well and leaves the list box much less crowded and nicer looking.

Can you not just create a View or StoredProcedure that does the conversion then bring that down into Access?

Hello Alex, I do not know if that will work or not, my SQL Server Skills are limited. That said, I just googled Views and Stored Procedures so I have an understanding of what they are and how they work. I will give it a try as soon as soon as I get a chance and let you know how it works.
As Always I appreciate the Help.

View is just a Query
Stored Procedure - Query with parameter(s)
