Oh no! I've locked myself out of my own record,
from a previous crash during testing.
(Not to worry, hot on the code to remove the lock if all but update stamp are the same.)

At least you don't have to pay $200 for a blacksmith to cut the lock with a set of bolt cutters! (Yes, i use $ because Rick won't let me use the Pounds Sterling symbol - see ')

I thought trekkies, with an eye to the future, weren't concerned with money or their symbols.

I don't remember if this is in the template or if I added it, but you just need a button to clear that out when it happens easily :P

Private Sub ClearLockButton_Click()
Dim Answer As Integer
Answer = MsgBox("WARNING, This Will Remove Any Record Locks, Only Use This If You Have A Record That Is Stuck on Locked, Continue?", vbYesNo, "WARNING")
    If Answer = vbYes Then
    DoCmd.SetWarnings False
    DoCmd.RunSQL "DELETE * FROM LockT"
    DoCmd.SetWarnings True
    Me.Requery
    Else
    Exit Sub
    End If
End Sub

@ Adam That will work, a bit overkill, but functional as long as the form locks are enabled.
Since I know the what, when and where of who set the locks, it was some pretty simple code to remove the lock if another person hits it. Again, if someone comes back to a record some hours or days later, they might hit the Access lock messages (not my table one based on Richard's solution), but that's tough luck baby.
