Richard,

In short: "On Not In List Event" is a necessary step at this point. So thank you for your ability to get the core figured out.

I have a jeweler that I am trying to recreate a lost front end for his database updated to Access in 2013, originally created in 2000 under dBase.

I understand the single item, like name prefix, suffix, staff initials, etc. However, if they open the "order form", I need to set it so they can enter a new customer if one is not already in the system, then have it auto populate with the new customer's details.

I did find another user on YouTube (Robert Heifler) that has the steps to creating the need in his video (bDZaA-nqJWk) posted May 18, 2015. However, his website is no longer in existence, so access to his template as referenced, is non-existent.

While I wait on a response, if you have done this part yet, or not, I will see if I can copy over his code 1 character at a time into my preferred text editor: Notepad++.
