Not a Finished ProductPlease keep in mind that most of my template databases are not designed to be finished products that are ready to go in a working environment. My templates are meant as starting points for you to customize for yourself so you don't have to reinvent the wheel. This requires that you have a basic understanding of Microsoft Access development. To work on most of my databases you should have completed my Access Beginner series and the first couple levels of my Expert series at a minimum. Most of my databases require knowledge of SQL and VBA as well. Keep in mind that most of my templates are not like off-the-shelf software. They're starting points for developers to be able to modify and use as their own. It really is going to be in your benefit to watch all of the prerequisite videos so you understand the database and how it works moving forward. This is not like QuickBooks where you just install it and use it. My templates are mostly designed for people who already have an understanding of how Microsoft Access works. Customize For Your NeedsIf you would like to discuss customizing this template for your needs, and integrating it into your current setup, please see my consulting page for details. While I no longer accept custom jobs that are specific to a single user, I may include your features in a future version of this template if they have mass appeal. If you are looking for custom enhancements made to this template just for you, visit my Developer Network. Technical SupportPlease note that technical support is NOT guaranteed for any of my courses, seminars, or templates. If you require help with modifying this template, you may post a question in the Forums, however an answer to your question is not guaranteed. If this template comes with an accompanying Seminar, then you should purchase that Seminar to see how the database was constructed. If not, then you should have taken the suggested courses. Most of my templates are designed on a Developer level and you should have a thorough understanding of SQL and VBA before attempting to modify them. If you have a problem with one of my databases, I will only support the unmodified database exactly as it's downloaded from my site. If you have modified it in any way, it may not be something I can help you with. You can post in the Forums, and I may be able to help you, but if the issue doesn't exist in my unmodified database, it's not something I can support. IntroIn this video, I will show you how to use my Microsoft Access booklet template to print multi-page, double-sided booklets with customizable covers, perfect for phone directories, product lists, church programs, and more. You will learn how to customize your customer list, navigate to specific records, and use the built-in tools to generate booklet reports in landscape format. I will also explain how the page ordering algorithm works to ensure your data prints in the correct sequence for easy folding and stapling. You'll find a free download of the template on my website for you to try out.TranscriptThis template will let you print multi-page double-sided booklets, including front and back covers. You can use it to print phone directories, product lists, church programs, and lots more. This template is based on my TechHelp Free template, which is a free download. You can enter in your customer list. You can go to a specific customer's record. It also includes contacts and orders and all that fun stuff. But the new stuff is right here, Print Directory. You specify how many records per page you're printing. Go to Print Directory. It will design the report for you. Here's the outside front cover and the back cover, which, of course, you can customize. There's the inside front and back covers, and then there's all your data. This is designed in landscape so you can print this, fold them, and staple them in the middle, like a normal booklet. This is page 1 here. This is actually page 4. My algorithms figure out exactly how to place the records in the right alphabetical order. Here's page 1 in alphabetical order. Here's the last page there. That was tricky to do. That took me all day to figure out. If you think about it, you've got your front cover here, your inside front cover, then page 1, page 2, page 3, page 4, page 5. It's got to go backwards: 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and then your inside back cover and your back cover. If this is a page printed landscape, you can print it that way and staple it in the middle. If you want to be able to print directories, product listings, or whatever, the booklet printer is for you. When you're done with your print, you get a nice little booklet that you can fold, staple in the middle, and you're good to go. On my website, you will find a free copy of the templates you can download, play with, and test to make sure that it works for you. Once you purchase the template, you get the full unlocked edition that you can make any kind of changes to and, of course, redesign to your specifications. If you have any questions, please feel free to post them down below in the comments section or to contact me on my website at accesslearningzone.com. I'll put a link down below in the description that you can click on to go right to the booklet template page. QuizNo quiz available.SummaryToday's video from Access Learning Zone introduces a template designed for printing multi-page, double-sided booklets, complete with customizable front and back covers. This tool is versatile and can be used for projects like phone directories, product catalogs, church bulletins, and many other purposes. This booklet template builds on my TechHelp Free template, which you can also download at no cost. With the core template, you can input a list of customers, navigate directly to an individual customer's record, and manage related information like contacts and orders. The standout feature here is the ability to print a directory in booklet format. You choose how many records appear on each page, and the template will assemble a report accordingly. The system auto-generates a layout that includes an outside front cover and an outside back cover, both of which you are free to personalize. Additionally, there are inside front and back covers, as well as pages for your main data set. Everything is set up in landscape orientation, so once printed, you simply fold the sheets and staple them in the middle to create a traditional booklet. The template automatically arranges your data in alphabetical order and ensures that each page falls in the correct sequence to print double-sided in booklet style. Figuring out the order for correct pagination, especially as records span multiple pages, was a complex process, but the template handles it for you. As you look through the print layout, you will see an intuitive order: the front cover, inside front cover, then sequential pages holding your data. The system works through the necessary reverse pagination for multi-page booklets, so when you assemble and staple the pages, the content is in the right order from front to back. If you need to produce printed directories, product lists, or similar publications, this booklet printer template offers a practical solution. The end result is a professional booklet ready to go once folded and stapled. You will find a free version of the templates on my website, which you can download and test to ensure it meets your needs. If you decide to purchase, you will get the complete, unlocked edition, allowing you to tailor everything further as desired. If you have questions or need support, feel free to leave a comment or reach out through my website at accesslearningzone.com. You can find a direct link to the booklet template page below. A full video tutorial with step-by-step instructions for all of the features mentioned is available on my website at the link below. Live long and prosper, my friends.
