Welcome!
Welcome YouTube Member!
Watch the video for instructions on how to find either your:
- YouTube Channel Name
- YouTube Channel URL
Yes, everyone on YouTube has a Channel Name and URL, whether you upload videos or not. It's basically like saying your "Facebook Profile Page." YouTube just calls them Channels.
I need either one of these pieces of information to link your account to my web site so that you can get your Perks. Once you have those pieces of information, use the YouTube Find User tool to locate your account.
UPDATE:
Your Channel URL is NOT your @handle name. I do not get this from YouTube. I only get your Channel Name and Channel URL. Your Channel URL looks like this:
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCl7-jJie4ifOVK87FINIuDg
That's what my site needs in order to be able to match up your account here with your YouTube account.
Do not give me your @handle.
You can find your Channel URL by going to your Channel page and clicking on "Your Channel" over on the left.

After you click on that your browser will replace your @handle with your full Channel URL up top. This is what I need.

Got it? Sweet.
Intro This page explains how to link your YouTube membership to my website so you can access your member perks. I will show you how to locate your YouTube channel name or channel URL, copy it, and enter it on my site to complete the sign-up process. You will also learn why I need this information and what to expect after submitting it, including how I verify your membership and get your login details sent to you.Transcript Welcome, YouTube member. This is Richard Rost. Welcome to my website.
Thank you for signing up for a membership to my channel on YouTube.
In order for me to link your account here to my website, I need one of two bits of information from you. I either need your channel name, which is basically your username on YouTube, or your channel URL, which is the webpage address that YouTube assigns to you, your account, and your channel. This is all the information that I get from YouTube about you. They do not give me your real name, they do not give me your email address. All I have is your channel name, your URL, and your membership level. That is it.
So how do you find this information? Here I am, logged into my YouTube account, on their homepage. Up in the right-hand corner, you will see a little link that has your picture on it. Click on that. Right here is your channel name. I am Computer Learning Zone.
If you click on your channel right there, that will bring you to this page. Welcome to PC Learning Zone. We are your source for it. There is your channel name. You can copy and paste that if you want to. Up top here in your address bar, that is your channel URL. You can copy and paste that as well. Either one of those things will work.
Sometimes your channel name has special characters in it, especially if you are not in the United States. You might have a better chance of success by copying this channel URL. Copy that.
Come back to my website. Go to the channel URL field and just paste that right in there and hit submit. Again, either the channel name or the URL will work.
The next page will tell you if you are in my database yet or not. Even if I do not have your information from YouTube yet, you can still sign up here. As soon as I get it, I will add you to my system. The next page will also ask you for your real name and your email address. That way I can contact you with your password and logon information for my website.
That is pretty much it. As soon as I get your information, I will send you a welcome email with your logon username, password, and links to get to your perks.

Thanks.Summary Thank you for joining as a YouTube channel member and visiting my website. I appreciate your support.
In order to connect your YouTube membership with your account on my website, I need to verify your identity. YouTube does not provide me with your personal details such as your real name or email address. Instead, all I receive is your channel name, your channel URL, and your membership level.
To help me link your membership, I will need either your channel name—which is your username on YouTube—or your channel URL, which is the web address specific to your channel. Here is how you can find this information:
First, make sure you are signed in to YouTube. Look in the upper right corner of the YouTube homepage and you will see your channel icon. If you select that, you will see your channel's name right there. You can also access your channel page directly from this menu. When you are on your channel page, you will again see your channel name, which you can copy. At the top of your browser, in the address bar, you will see your channel's URL, which is another piece of information you can copy. Either your channel name or your channel URL are acceptable.
Be aware that sometimes channel names may contain special characters, especially for users outside the United States. For this reason, you may find it more reliable to just use the channel URL.
Once you have this information, head back to my website and find the field where you can enter your channel URL—or paste in your channel name if you prefer. Submit this information.
After submitting, the website will let you know if you are already in my system. If YouTube has not yet sent me your membership information, you can still fill out the form. Once I receive your details from YouTube, I will make sure you are added to the database. I will also ask for your real name and email address, which will allow me to send you your website login credentials and any necessary contact regarding your account.
That is the entire process. After everything is set up, I will send you a welcome email containing your username, password, and information about how to access your membership perks on the website.
