It looks like Fort Meyers got it pretty darn good. Reports I read say as much as 90% of the residents are without power and it could take weeks or even months to clean up.

It was a nice sunny day today. Fortunately not too hot. Last hurricane it was like 95 because it hit earlier in the season... So we're OK even without AC.

So glad to hear you and family are ok and prepared for survival. Praying for you and other residents in the community as the clean-up and recovery begins.
In Cairns we have cyclones, which I believe are hurricanes blowing in the reverse direction - powerful forces to contend with.
