We've arranged a global civilization in which most crucial elements profoundly depend on science and technology. We have also arranged things so that almost no one understands science and technology. This is a prescription for disaster.

Who wants an SQL Seminar?
By Richard Rost   Richard Rost on LinkedIn Email Richard Rost   15 years ago

I was in the process of putting together the "Access Search Seminar" when I realized that this is going to require a lot of SQL... and I really have only scratched the surface of SQL in Access so far.

So... I'm thinking about putting together an Access-specific SQL seminar FIRST. What do you think? There is SO much to SQL that we really haven't done much with (a little here, a little there).

By a show of hands (meaning, post a reply here) how many of you would be interested in an SQL seminar for Access?

And for those of you who are interested, should I just make it a basic SQL primer, a more in-depth "using SQL" tutorial, or go all-out and show you how to do EVERYTHING with SQL in Access, including table modification and such?

Let me know.

Oh, note also that there is an SQL LANGUAGE 101 tutorial on the Waiting List already. I was going to create a generic "non-Access" tutorial for just the SQL language that is applicable to ANY database platform. If this interests you as well, vote for it. The seminar I've got in mind, however, would be specific to Access and I will show everything in tandem (how to write the SQL and create the query in Design View).
