Hi Richard. I'm really interested in learning about applying styles and templates (I'm not sure I'm even using the right terminology there either!) but I've seen people create the most amazing documents in word that they then print to PDF as an ebook. All the styles are consistent with their brand and it just looks so professional.
Whenever I try, it just looks like a dull, drab Word doc :(
I took some microsoft training uk last year, and that helped me a lot in terms of using the preset styles in Word, and learning about Table of Contents too, but if you've got any resource for really getting my teeth into making my docs look more professional, I'd love to check them out.
Thank you.

Hi Emma. I cover STYLES in several of my Word courses and seminars, especially Word 2. Lots more about Styles will be coming up in my forthcoming Word Expert series later this year.
I only covered setting up an automatic Table of Contents in my Word 2007 Upgrade seminar. Again, I'll be doing more with that soon. That seminar pertains to 2010 as well, and is good if you're used to Word 2003 or older.
Word is one of those subjects that I haven't done much with over the past couple of years because I've been so focused on Excel and Access.
