What do you mean pull item information from the web? Are you like scanning something on your monitor? Or what are you trying to accomplish? Your description sounds like you need an API.

YES!! API for sure!!! I have an inventory DB and i use a scanner for everything as of now i am manually entering all data... prod name description etc.... i have watched these videos for years and i came across one that said what i was tryin to do was shown in one of these seminars... i purchased the seminar.. watched... and rewatched and cant seem to find that part... i am by no means anywhere near a developer... I'm just a mom that likes to play with databases... but in all reality if i can figure out how to accomplish this i think my database will be complete!
so long story short... i need every step broken down lol and that's what is thought i was going to get like his other vids....

GOAL: pull data from here
      https://www.upcitemdb.com/api/explorer#!/lookup/get_trial_lookup
based off a scanned upc code with barcode scanner
then automatically add all product data into my product table   i think that covers it

Access Developer 27 Class is entirely on Barcode Scanners, Printing, and Inventory.  It wasn't pulling anything off the web but you could create a label using the web browser in Access and build your own labels.

Here's a couple videos on APIs that might help you. APIs are probably the most complicated thing you can do in Access though, once you're able to get the data back in a response in that json format do you know how to parse through the data and actually get the meaningful information out of it to use?

Weather API
Weather API 2
Web API

There is also the Access Barcode Inventory Seminar   https://599cd.com/blog/display-article.asp?ID=1644
Access Developer 27, Access Developer 23, Access Developer 23, Access Developer 14. TechHelp Richard covered QR Codes, Barcode Printing and Barcode Scanning.  Or are we in search of the Web API - Retrieving Real-Time Data Using a Web Api in Access?

I think what you're looking for starts at 12:40 of this video: https://599cd.com/blog/display-article.asp?ID=1622

Julie Did you end up finding where Richard talks about how to do that?  In the video Joe Holland mentions Richard says he will go over how to do that in the seminar.  But I was not able to find it.
