Form Data Entry No Add Etc Form Not Locked

Form based on a One Table Query. Query not updatable. Continuous Form. Data Entry error "Command or Action is not Available Right Now." Fix should be so simple. Just elusive.
Rick has 2 Mantras. The First:  DoCmd."Save it, Close it, Open it."  The Second is     "Back Up your data." Which I did not. Made several changes, wrecked my world. And, Yes I watched the Troubleshooting Video.

James

I think if you're trying to just get it so you can add new records in the header, the simplest method would be to create a subform with your "EquipmentTypesT" as the record source and put the "EquipmentTypeEntryFieldAdd" field along with the button for saving it in that sub form  and have the "Data Entry" property set to yes so that it can't try to list other records.

Your save button would do any data validation you need then automatically set the subform back to a blank record. Then you might need to add a "Parent.Requery" after it saves so that it will requery the data in the main form.

Then, just place that subform in the form heading of your existing form in place of the current new record field and once you get it in place where you want it, in form view, you'd never know it's a subform.

Will give that a shot. My intention was to duplicate a Tech Help video that Rick made New Record on Top which the final result, visually is incredibly appealing. Thank you for your assistance.
