YourIT.Team is seeking a VBA Developer for a full-time, fully remote role supporting an Access-to-SQL Server migration. Salary and eligible hiring countries are not specified, so applicants should confirm geographic eligibility.

What the role entails:

You'll analyze, debug, and maintain existing VBA modules, review Access forms, queries, reports, macros, relationships, and linked tables, and document application workflows before helping with migration. The listing requests six months to one year of hands-on experience and a relevant bachelor's degree. SQL Server and Azure knowledge are advantages rather than mandatory requirements. DAO/ADO and migration-tool experience are additional pluses.

About YourIT.Team:

The company provides database administration, cloud-data, data-engineering, and reporting services. The migration client's identity is not disclosed.

Rick's take:

The detailed Access requirements make this a genuine developer opportunity. Expert-level database fundamentals would help, but practical VBA debugging and the ability to understand somebody else's application are essential. The stated experience range makes it worth considering for earlier-career developers with real projects behind them.

Migration still creates work for Access developers: someone must understand the existing business logic and dependencies before moving the system safely.
