Requery Refresh
Lee D

Richard, Thank you for your response. I did take the access class you recommended and found the lessons useful but it did not help with my current issue. Unfortunately I am under a bit of a dead line so I can not wait for the advance series. So I will detail my problem and if you can offer a solution that would great if not I completely understand. What I have is a main form that has 3 sub form (continues form style) imbedded in it. The subforms are built on queries and display events that have been confirmed, events that are pending and brief customer contact info. The ID fields in each sub is hyper linked to a pop up form that has the complete record. What I would like to achieve is that if for example I modify a pending record and change the status to confirmed When I close the pop up form it triggers the main and sub forms requery and moves the record to the correct location. I have a requery button on the main form that accomplishes this but I would like to eliminate that step for my users. Thank you again for your assistance, Lee Dillon

Reply from Richard Rost:

This will not be easy. First of all, I'd recommend switching from subforms to LIST BOXES. Unless you need to be able to edit them in place, list boxes are easier for just lists you want to display. Then, I'd recommend putting a CLOSE button on your popup form that just requeries the 3 subforms and closes the popup form.

Forms!MainForm!List1.requery
Forms!MainForm!List2.requery
Forms!MainForm!List3.requery
Me.close

That should do it. Yes, you could keep the subforms too and do something similar.
