Unsplit a database
Nancy Troutman

I have tried (and failed) to find a video on how to go from a split database to a back to a single database.

I took a suggestion from this forum to use an back-up program instead of using the Access back-up.   Now I have to re-enter 6 weeks of data-entry because one table-database became corrupted without my knowing it because I was no longer hitting repair each week.

My database has 24 tables, one for each verb form.  I just don't have the time or patience to open 24 databases to hit "repair" to make sure I don't have a corrupted table.

Sorry to hear that. Even if you've got a backup solution in place, you still need to check those backups once in a while. To "un-split" your database, just open the front end and IMPORT the tables back into it. Access Expert 21.

Before you go through all of that, I have a backup routine that I wrote myself for Access. You put it in your database and it can run nightly. It will backup your front-end and all of your back-end files too. Give me a day or two to write it up and publish it.
