MultiField Search Form

I created the Multi-Field Search Form (using your video) called SearchF using SearchQ. It works most of the time.

When I search for some recent clients (regardless of which field I search with), the SearchQ returns 0 results. If I search for a different client, it may work perfectly. Yet the client(s) is in the CustomerT and can be opened with the CustomerF. The customer database was developed using your Beginner 1Expert 4 lessons.

Can you share a picture of your searchQ? I'm wondering if you don't have a join relationship causing it.

Need more info, Larry. "It works most of the time" doesn't tell me anything. :)

It does not matter which field (First_Name, Last_Name, City, ect.) in use in the SearchF I use, sometimes the SearchQ returns records that ARE in the CustomerT. Sometimes it do NOT return records that ARE in the CustomerT. It is not a spelling issue. I have 1031 records in CustomerT. I created all the forms, queries, and tables, ect. following your Beginner 1Expert 4 lessons plus your Multi-Field Search Form tip. I have run compact/repair and rebooted my computer. Same results. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Does Valera have ANY null fields that are used in your search query? Not necessarily searching on them.

Try adding in NZ to the fields and see if it returns Valera. Do something similar to the image below for all your fields. NZ Function

Yeah, null values will definitely cause a problem.

Yes, I had some null values in some of the search fields in the CustomerT. Once I added values in the fields used in the SearchF, the SearchQ returned the customer record as expected. Problem solved! Thank you so very, very much.
