Merge from Access

Hi, I'm having difficulties getting a mail merge from Access to Word working properly and need some assistance. Here is the scenario: I have two tables, Projects and Contracts. One Project may have many Contracts. There are some 300 projects, each project gets one page for its basic details (fields like scope, cost, schedule) and then the next page is dedicated to the Contracts that are linked to the Project ID. One project may have 0 or as many as 20 contracts. The contract page is a table with six columns and up to 20 records. While I could create a flat file and a unique field for each column-row intersection (120 fields), I'd rather use an iterative script in the Mail Merge that only shows the next row if there is another Contract for that Project ID. I've been unable to get that script to work and I'm hoping someone has some experience with it.

Should I be using Next If or MergeSeq or something.

BTW, the end report needs to be in Word because Access cannot make 508-compliant documents (a significant limitation for Access reports). Word has better 508 capabilities and can then be finished using professional 508 software.

Why not just create the final report in Access and then export that to Word for "finishing?"

Thanks Richard. I've tested the export to Word but it does not maintain the structure, gets messed up, and does not export any heading or tag information. (I'm surprised Microsoft has not improved this feature.) It would take me more time to redo the tagging for 508 in Word that it is worth. I'm better off using Word as the base document and mail-merging the data to Word. Any thoughts on how to set up an iterative table for the Contracts, noted above?

Ahh, the export also did not export the ~4 images per Project page that are included.
