CPT Codes

Hi Richard,   I have a table where I have all the CPT codes I bill. I have made a report so it can be printed. Is there a way to group them according to the tests I do. For eg I want a title Hearing Test and have the CPT codes under it, balance test and have those CPT codes under it and so on. It becomes easier for the tester to circle all the codes for that test.   Right now they are are listed  by their AutoID and the tester misses circling some codes which is a big loss of revenue if not billed. Can you help

I would add a GroupTypeT to your tables, or if you have utilized the Helper Table in to there.
Then a GroupTypeID into your CPT Code Table.  Then you could print (or choose) by group then by CPT description.

Take a look at Groups

How would I group the CPT codes records together. It needs to be listed as I have to print it on an encounter form so we can check off services done for our patients. I am not sure if Grouping would work or I don't know how.

Also I can't group it by AutoID as the codes belonging to the test are all over the place.  Can't group it by names as the names are different. Can't group it under Codes as each code is unique. Grouping will not work.

Rajashree you could bring the two into a query and sort first by Group then by CPT.
Depending on your form and how you are entering your data - I don't know if we're talking 10's or 100's of data points you might even consider a two step process using Cascading Combo Boxes.  The beauty of Access is as the developer you have a number of options at you disposal to get the job done.

If I'm not understanding correctly what you are trying to accomplish maybe you could provide a sample data set to show us what you're speaking about.
