Paying for B2 Upload Images Link Email

I really surprised the content of B level 2.
I think you shouldn't make it payed or even make it an optional level. As it is much kind of art not programming.
Please note that I already enjoy all the content you provide on your amazing website. It's very easy to follow up with you even with the X2 speed of speech.

But, until this moment I didn't find what I'm looking for.
I'm trying to make a database with huge data and before sales and sales on date and delivery on other date. Also, I want to follow up the inventory for 3 warehouses with up to 80 products with different packages drums or pails.

Each time I start building the tables but I stuck in the relationships

I still can pay for the rest of the courses but I need to stick to the point on what I really need.
Could you please guide me on which level should I go for.

Thank you for your opinion but I disagree.

When you were a child, your parents and teachers didn't start you out with writing your first essay on computer theory.
(Well maybe yours did - but mine sure didn't - LOL) Instead they started you out learning your colors and shapes. They progressed to letters and numbers. Then moved on in your lessons to forming sentences and doing math.

The point is, every journey begins where??? At the beginning! You have to start somewhere. Without the fundamental skills, those that you think you don't need right now, you will fail down the road.

Develop your knowledge of Access first. Learn the fundamentals up front. Build your house on the rock not on the shifting sand.

My advice is take the courses in order. Immerse yourself in what is being presented and enjoy the journey. Don't be the person that we point back to the beginning courses and say, "Go back to Beginner 2. It was covered there/"

Okay, I know maybe my passion to build my database is the real reasons to say my comment above. Anyhow I'll temporarily (fake my agreement) with your appreciated opinion.
Desgining forms seems from your course is an art (don't know is it bad or good to say so?).
I'll follow your guidelines to learn more.

Concerning my database : do you think should I start with small tables as I learned in ACB1 and eventually upgrade it accordingly. Or wait till I know everything about Access and then start a huge project?
Can access help me with orders undersupply and supplies delivered and manage my inventory as well, issuing invoices, save data about vessels and ships?

Everytime I start the planning I discover it's very hard to build my database. Is it normal?

Mohei -
I find that I spend quite some time designing the db on paper before I even get to using the program. So yes it is normal to find it hard at first. As you gain experience it does become easier.

By the way - They are not my courses, they are Richards. I'm just expressing my opinion. Use the first Beginner courses and get into at least Expert 1 & 2 to really learn the program "Access" before doing major work on your own database.
Once you have the fundamentals down it starts becoming easier.

Designing good looking forms is a bit art and what looks good to me may look like garbage to you. More importantly though is the functionality of the fields and controls (buttons, Combo Boxes, List Boxes, etc.) that you are learning along the way.
The way your information is laid out on the form and the "flow" of how you navigate through the information is important as an end user. How you get to the information and how it is entered.

Check out the Normalizing Data video for more help on designing your database.
Also look at the Too Many Tables.

Yes I just noticed while I'm clicking on submit that you're Scott not Richard.
Thanks a lot for your opinion I will take it in my mind.

👺 Yes it's not more than $ 1 but I'm not from USA and exchange rate to my EGP is 19.60 Egyptian Pounds
Which means for you in US pay 20 Dollars 😁

Mohei, what you're talking about are ADVANCED topics. You can't just jump in the ocean if you don't know how to swim. That's what the Beginner and Expert courses are for. Order entry is covered in the Expert series. Tracking inventory is a Developer topic. It requires programming. And there isn't just "one" lesson that "covers inventory." It's a topic that is very in-depth and requires several levels of understanding before you can just "do inventory." You have to understand VBA, functions, recordsets, SQL, action queries, and a lot of other stuff.

That's why I tell people start with B1 and follow the lessons IN ORDER. Work on MY project and NOT your own. You're going to learn SO MUCH between now and the end of the series that I guarantee you're going to wind up scrapping what you have now and starting it over from scratch SEVERAL TIMES.

I'm sorry about the exchange rate in your country. There's nothing I can do about that. I do have the Learning Connection which gives you a 50% discount. I see you're already signed up for that. It's the best discount I offer.

Could you learn most of this by going through my free videos on YouTube and Google searches? A lot of it, sure. Are you going to get a comprehensive, step-by-step course that way? Nope. But whatever works for you is what I recommend you do.

I completely agree with Richard and Alex, there is no point in trying to launch a rocket if you do not understand the fundamentals of gravity, speed, physics, etc.... you get the point. I have also been there, after completing B1 I was all excited and trying to embrace a huge database project, just to come to the conclusion that my knowledge was very limited and I need to build it one step at a time. I have already taken Access training before (many years ago), and B1 and B2 have been extremely educational and useful. So, learn the basics first, move to the expert training after that and then reconsider your project, you can later decide if you need more advance knowledge.

I agree with you all. But I might lunch my rocket very soon. I know it might have some problems within the try. I learned a lot here in Beginner 1, 2 and 3.
But I have some knowledge from other people on YouTube.
I'll keep learning to avoid the upcoming problems with my project.
