I'm updating my Lodges Treasurers database and trying to make the Invoicing portion easier to do. A number of requirements make the process a little difficult to do in a database. The Members Table, "Mem_125_Member_T" holds the basic information of all present and past members. It is linked to a small table that keeps the status of members dues payments to the lodge. Periodically the dues change as the member changes his circumstances. Some members can pay his dues in one payment. Other members need to pay over multiple periods. Some even overpay in one fiscal year period and need to have it carried overed to the next Fiscal year. Some can not completely pay during the Fiscal Year and pay over multiple Fiscal periods for that period. There is a helper table Mem_125_MemberDuesType_HT that is easily updated when required as MemberType status changes and Grand Lodge changes the Base DuesAmount. I have been looking for the video Richard did on Combo fields that load the two values in the helper table into different fields in a table. Cant seem to find it. Can you point me to it? One problem is that for the helper table easily give me the present Fiscal year dues requirements. Need to keep accurate data over multiple Fiscal periods for an individual period. I need a form and table that focuses on the Fiscal Period but can have payment dates can be over multiple entries but shows each payment amount, date and remaining balance for that fiscal year period. The more automated the better. It would be very helpful that when the balance indicated zero or over payment that the Current Y/N field would be set automatically. If I use the Debit Field as the stating value for that fiscal year dues. How do I carry over the previous balance into the next payment period if needed and only do that for the fiscal Period? The report I think is not difficult. Just a report Grouped by Fiscal Year, then Member that shows each payment and remaining balance, Current status and comments.
