Linking photos from MS Teams
Josh Schafer

Hello,
My name is Josh and I am a beginner user. I'm in the process of creating a data base of our inventory with pictures that is viewable across other locations in the company. I was going to store the photos in the shared G: drive but our IT guy said they would be doing away with that drive and everything would be moving into Teams. My question is, how do I link the photos in teams to a form in Access? Thank you for your help,

Josh

Photos in Teams are actually stored in a SharePoint site.
Are you storing these in a particular Team?

Yes, the photos are going to be shared in a specific team folder, for that team. Those photos haven't been uploaded yet as I was just told yesterday that the G: drive was not a good option. After researching, couldn't find what I was looking for and I didn't want to upload any until I discovered the best way to store them.

It's likely to just be a documents folder under the hood
I don't think there's a integrated way of showing them in Access
But you could use the MS APIs, albeit a little tricky

This is unfortunate but photos of items were just an added touch. Tracking incoming shipments for all locations was the original plan and can still proceed. Thank you for your help.

One option might be to pull down the SharePoint documents list as a table and see what properties you get from that. If the document url exists you might be able to set that as the picture source.

Another option might be to connect to WebDAV.

Spoke with my IT guy and he said the same thing as far as the SharePoint documents, but he doesn't believe we have access to WebDAV. I'll try to play around with it and see if it can be accomplished when I get routine work completed. Thank you again for your help.
