Can you tell me why the command below opens my DataF but it is a blank record, not the one I double click?
Private Sub ApptListBox_DblClick(Cancel As Integer) DoCmd.OpenForm "DataF", , , "DataID=" & ApptListBox End Sub

Is data entry turned on?

I do not understand your reply. I can click on DataF and see all my records and can add records.

Go to the form properties, im not at a machine right now so i dont remember what tab its under, but theres a property called data entry, if that is set to yes the form will always open to a new record

The Data Entry was set to No on my ApptLisyBoxF in the forms property. I started a new database and I was able to btimng my DataF with the record being correct.
Well, if it works on a blank new database, then it's got to be an issue in your current database. Without seeing your database, it's impossible to check the value of your ApptListBox. Make sure everything is spelled correctly and look for any other conflicting code.
