Highlighting Rows
Serdar Sahinbas

As original thread is closed, i had to create this new conversation. I got a problem with highlighting rows which is showed in Richard's original video on Youtube. I don't know why but in my DB, only selected field is highlighted, just like usual conditional formatting. I literally checked many times the steps in the video and i'm sure that everything is the same(and it's even working in selected fields but not highlighting the whole row at once) but couldn't make it work as it should. I'm also sure that selectedID=RecordID in Form_Current event as the SelectedID text box automatically reflects the selected record ID. Any suggestions?

Well, aside from the fact that I can't read the language, it looks OK to me. Does MY database work on your system when you download it?

Is "SelectedID" the correct name for the textbox? Also, check each textbox's formatting rules individually. Some of the textboxes may have other rules that are interfering.

Hi Serdar

Also check the order of your conditional formatting rules. Richard covers that.

Thank you for all the comments.

@Richard, sorry for the native language but yes your DB works perfectly fine. I made the changes in customer form of your free template DB and whole row is highlighted as it should be. It is definetely about my DB, but can't see the reason yet. I will keep investigating.

@Kevin, yes, SelectedID is the correct name of textbox. It also reflects the current ID of the selected record. I will check if there is an individual rule of these textboxes that may interfere.

@John, i will now go and watch Richard's conditional formatting video!

Result: I found the problem and fixed it. It was about backstyle of textboxes in form. They were set to transparent so this was interfering with conditional formatting. I switched them back to "normal" and now everything works perfectly fine!

Thanks for the comments helping me to detect this problem.
