Form will not open

I was working in a form and wanted to check the placement of 2 fields, I switched to Design Layout and moved the fields. Then the form will not open anymore. I've check the form under the forms list and it will not open from the list but I can open it using the layout mode, I've looked at the query that it is pulled from and it will open fine.
I've also run the Compact and Repair Database but still same problem. Help???

This just happened yesterday with one of my students. We tried everything.

The solution in this case is to create a new empty form and copy the controls from the form that is not working into the empty form. This usually fixes the problem.

Remember, you also need to copy VBA code. The old form has it. You can do that in bulk: select all the VBA for that form in the editor and paste it all in the new form. Then close the new form and open it, and the VBA will attach itself to the controls.

What do you mean by "Copy the controls"? Are you wanting me to mark all of the items on the page and then copy / paste them onto the new page? And then the VBA?

I absolutely HATE Layout Mode. It's on my Evil list.

What Sami is saying is open the form in Design View if you can, copy the controls (text boxes and such) and then paste them into a blank new form.

If that doesn't work, try running down the Troubleshooter.

Yes, Kevin that's exactly what I mean as Richard said open the empty form and the old form both in design view copy one section at a time not one control at a time this way it will maintain their positions then open the VBA if you have any on that form copy the entire page And paste it onto the new form everything should work

Thank you Sami and Richard. That worked great. I have the form up and running perfectly.
Thank you Ronald,  I will look at the video again. I always seem to catch something on the 2nd or 3rd look of the videos.
