Build Glossary with Tags

Hi: I just finished Beginner Level 1 and Richard suggested I post my questions here to get even more help. Thanks Richard!!!!

I trying to build a multilingual glossary ' very much along the lines of UNTerm. Check out the screengrabs.

This way I can put ALL my terms into One Centralized Glossary, and then sort and filter as needed. Sounds simple right?

Where my situation become slightly complex is that I'm trying to create records and then associate those records with several 'tags.'

For example, if I want to add the word NUCLEAR to my glossary, I'll create a record, but I may want to add several tags to that record like: 'disarmament,' 'human rights,' or 'Europe.' This way, if I ever search using those tags: NUCLEAR will still show up in my search.

Does anyone know at what level I would be able to start doing something like this? I'm making my way through Richard's tutorial videos. I literally started Beginner Lesson 2 this afternoon.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Thanks, Juan. I have a long way to go'I just finished beginner level 2. Richard introduced relationships in the tutorial, so I'll learn more as I progress. For now, I'll keep using Google Sheets for my glossary and think about how I want my MS Access glossary to look and function. This way, when I reach the expert level, I'll have a clearer idea of what's possible.

Thanks.

Thanks, John Davy! Your encouragement means the world to me.

As you said, I look forward to discovering new ways to address issues. I'll need to rewatch some videos. For instance, last night Richard discussed relationships, which was challenging. That wasn't the first time I had encountered the notion of relationships. I used to work in the I.T. department at my university, where my boss often talked about "tables" in ServiceNow for creating complex workflows, but I could never grasp the concept.

Now, with Richard's training, I'm slowly understanding why multiple tables are needed and how they interact through relationships.

I'm excited for this journey! And who knows? I might even create something better and more customized than the screen grab I uploaded.

Access is definitely one of those tools where the more you learn, the more you want to learn. So just be patient, enjoy the ride, and when you finally do get up into the Developer classes, you're going to be amazed at how much you can accomplish.
