Rental inventory out
Jorge Garcia

Good morning,

I am working with a tool check out database and so far, I have been successful in creating it and using it successfully, crushed all bugs that came up during implementation. Whoop! However, I was expecting the inventory out to have something I could use. I'm in the US Army and I need to create something to have a daily report of what is out (kinda like books out) and a trend report to see what is used more often to remove unused equipment within the fiscal year. I tried using something similar to the invoice, but failed and corrupted my db (luckily, I have backups). I deleted all my attempts. Are there any existing classes for that? Or is there anyway to research for it? I just need ideas to research and make it happen. I am no expert in Access but I can play the game 1701 style.

Thank you!
Garcia

I think inventory is in Dev 19,23,26 and a few others. You can use the INDEX and just Ctrl+F search for inventory. There's a few ways you could be doing inventory, if you are using a query/count kind of system, you just need a date field to show when transactions happened, if you are using a SQL statement or recordset to remove them, you'd just need to make a "log" table with everything you changed, when you change it. This might cover that Log Changes to Tables

Did you try looking at the Rental History database from Developer 23?

Maggie: I'm new to this site and I might be missing what you said about Rental History db. I watched the entire Access Dev 23 and applied what I needed and made corrections to what I had.

Kevin: I will check those out.

After several attempts, I did it. I used several tutorials on querries from Mr. Rost and managed to get their results I wanted. Thank you so much for your help.
