I have a database I made myself. I am trying to compact and repair like I was told to do. When I try do Compact and Repair, I get a error message saying ..."The Compact and repair Operation has been cancelled. You might not have adequate permission to the folder that the database Is located In.". This Is on my own laptop. This Is my personal Database use just by me. My question Is what I can do to fix this problem? I have a question can I put My database In a google folder to do the Compact and repair?

I am the only one using the database. I have It In a Google drive but I am getting a "The Compact and repair Operation has been cancelled. You might not have adequate permission to the folder that the database Is located In." error message. How can I fix this?

You should still not run a database out of a Google Drive folder EVEN IF you are the only one using it. GDrive tries to constantly update that file in the cloud. Copy the file DOWN to a local folder, use it, then copy it back up. Trust me.

I do trust you. I figure It was the Google drive causing the problem. I will take It out of the Goolge drive. I just put It there so I would have copy's of any changes. I will make manual backup too.

Use the Google Drive to store your backup - that way it's copied to the cloud. Keep your primary copy on your C: (or any local) drive and then copy it to your G Drive when you're done (or nightly). Backup Access
