That video is " Reading Email From Outlook " I know we can do that.
But how would you Receive Emails from your Gmail account into Access.?

Would be nice to build an Access App " Email Client " That would work like Outlook.
Also have it work with any email service, Gmail, Yahoo,,,,,,
So you can Send, Receive, Reply, Forward, Attach and so on just like Outlook would work.

You can set up your Gmail account in Outlook 365 (not the new Outlook; see picture below), then use automation in Access to retrieve and send email from Outlook.  Richard should have several videos on automation.  "Automation" is a way for one Office app to "control" another.  Access can control Excel, Word, or Outlook, and vice versa.  Automation is an advanced VBA topic also, so you need to take VBA lessons if you haven't already.

Thanks kevin, I  know how to do it using Outlook, been doing that for years.
I was just trying to find a way to do it With-Out using Outlook.
You will need a " Gmail ODBC Driver " to do it.

If you have Access, you must have Outlook, since it's part of the Office suite.  If you have Outlook, then you should use it -- until you can't.  Email via CDO is usually for people who don't have or use the Office suite, such as web developers.

If you use email for business purposes, Gmail is not the best choice, and the inconvenience you're facing is one reason why.  The other reason is that Gmail (and other free public email services, like Yahoo) makes no secret that it reads the content of your email to know what ads to send you.  That is why at the top of your inbox is often an ad.  These companies have done this for a long time now.  Any info in your outgoing and incoming email is all fair game for them to grab.  It would be disconcerting to run a business and to deal with this.

I've been using private domains for years both at work and personally.  Your private domains get you NORMAL email accounts where you don't have to deal with nonsense from services like Gmail.
