Column Group Headers

On a multi column groped report how do you put the group header on a continued column on the same page or the next page.  Like if you have more names than room in a column so some goes to the next column.  I do not want to keep them in the same column or on the same page.  But if the column header is "B"  the next continued column would show "B Continued"  is there a way to do this?

Unfortunately, Access only allows headers in a single-column layout.  On a multi-column layout, the headers will only show on the leftmost column, as shown in the picture below.  Word, however, is able to "carry over" the headers to all columns in a multi-column layout.  Just to be clear, by "column," I refer to the report layout, not fields (as in, columns of a table), which is what I think you mean.

Thanks not quite what i was asking as I wasn't clear.  I wasn't talking about the column header but the group header.  Like if grouped on the first letter of last name.  I have a three column report down then across.  Lets say under grouping letter C in column one I have 30 records that start with C but only room for 12 so the next 12 go in column 2. Looking for a way to repeat the grouping letter C.
I think I understand you I'm just not clear if you were talking about group headers or column headers.  When I read your answer answer I get the feeling you are talking about column headers.  My question only comes into play in the print preview mode.

I think it's the same issue: the headers do not carry over to another column.  In my first picture above, I have group footers (the ones that show "Total for group").  But if I had group headers, they would only be shown once, wherever they first appeared.  They would not be shown a second time if the group went over to the next column.  This is an inherent Access shortcoming, as I said, which doesn't happen in Word.  The only repeatable headers in an Access report are the page headers, which appear at the top of every page, but only above the leftmost column in a multi-column layout, as circled in my picture above.

Thanks that is what I thought but wasn't sure.   Thanks again
Rex
