Hi everyone, hope you are all keeping well.

Does anyone know a way that if I double click on an image on my form it can open up in a different programme ie Blubeam, Windows Photo or Photoshop etc?

I've looked around but can't find much, remember I'm thick as mince when it comes to this sort of stuff so if you could explain it as if you're talking to a 5 year old that would be amazing!

I've attached a screenshot of my form with picture on it.

If you need anything else please just let me know.

Many thanks

Chris

Place a hidden button over the image.

I don't want to sound snarky here, but I have to ask.. Why?  Will people be editing the images or just looking for a better or bigger view of the image?

Thanks everyone, the seminar will definitely do the trick.
Hi Bill, yeah I'd like to open the image and then be able to zoom in etc. I'd also like an option where I can edit certain items on either the photo or a drawing.

I usually invoke VBScript to do this kind of thing.  E.g.:

Sub OpenPic()
    Dim ws As Variant
    Set ws = CreateObject("WScript.Shell")
    ws.Run "file:///D:\My%20Pictures\My%20Pic.jpg"
End Sub

This will open the file "D:\My Pictures\My Pic.jpg" in whatever default program the user has set for opening this particular file type.  This works for video files, music files, or any file that has a default application.  The only caveat is that all spaces in the file path must be replaced with the hexadecimal ASCII value for space (%20), just like in Internet URLs.  But this can be easily done with the Replace() function on the string.

Glad the seminar will work for you.  I was going to suggest if it was only for a close view making a form or report with the photo alone enlarged full screen.
