Forced proper case

I am setting up a table of users for a database. The client wants to specify some usernames that begin with two capital letters. I cannot enter this as Access changes the second character of the one-word username to lowercase - as if it is trying to enforce "proper" case! The username field's data type is "short text." The table design has no formatting or input mask set for this field. I tried entering the username as the client specified in an open table in the datasheet view and on a form. I encountered the problem in both places. Is this a regular part of Access I've never experienced, or is there something obvious I'm missing here? I feel foolish not understanding this simple data entry aspect, but here I am.

I turned off Name AutoCorrect in the Options menu of the current database, but the problem persists. I don't see any way to edit the field's properties in the table design. When I right-click on the field and select Properties, I get table properties with no AutoCorrect property selection. What am I not seeing?

Anything on the Form?

I don't see a property like "autocorrect" at the form level - either for the form or the control. Because the behavior happens when editing the record in the table (open datasheet view), I'm guessing it has to be a table-level or a database property.

in Form Design View, go to the Property Sheet for the field.
Allow Autocorrect is on the Other tab.

Thanks, Kevin. That did it!

Remarks

To return an AutoCorrect object, use the AutoCorrect property.

To enable or disable the display of the AutoCorrect Options button, use the DisplayAutoCorrectOptions property.

To enable or disable AutoCorrect functionality for a particular TextBox or ComboBox object, use the AllowAutoCorrect property.
