We've all seen how Microsoft often overlooks the potential of some of its applications (cough... Access... cough), which could be so much more with proper development. I fear the same thing may be happening with PowerPoint. This article highlights how PowerPoint hasn't received the same level of attention and innovation as other Microsoft products like Word and Excel.
The author raises an interesting question about whether PowerPoint is being left behind in favor of Microsoft's flagship programs. Personally, I use PowerPoint myself, not for traditional presentations since I don't give those, but for creating all the slides in my videos. From intro slides to visuals I use to explain concepts, PowerPoint works well for those purposes. I guess you could say my videos are presentations in their own way.
I know most of you probably don't need my PowerPoint training because you're advanced users. However, there are a lot of beginner users out there who might benefit from some PowerPoint lessons.
What do you think? Is PowerPoint still worth teaching?
I would definitely love to see more PowerPoint classes (perhaps some Tech Helps too). Beginners will probably need guidance since the user interface has changed considerably since the 2002/2003 classes were made (still love those classes). So a huge yes to more PowerPoint classes.

I've always thought that someday I would learn to how to use it. Just haven't ever gotten around to it.

Your powerpoint lessons are definitely on my to do list. I've started a couple of the early lessons, just no time yet to really dive in.

I know I could certainly benefit from some PowerPoint lessons! We use PowerPoint for our training classes at work so any insight into making our presentations better would be great!

I haven't had a Power Point class since 2001, so yeah. I think I've forgotten more than I ever learned about it.

I have not used PowerPoint myself. I have never had PowerPoint training or a direct need that I couldn't fulfill with some other software that I was familiar with. When you demonstrate using it to supplement the development of Access, I see the value of what I have been missing. If you make the videos, I would definitely watch them.
The only way I can think of PowerPoint being used to supplement the development of Access would be to either: A) develop flowcharts for the development team to see how the software is supposed to flow, like your work process (do this, then this, and this), or B) use it as a guide to train users on how to use your database. So yeah, there are a few things I could think of in that general direction.

What Richard said is exactly how I use PowerPoint

Or like Richard does, use it to create slideshows for including in training videos. I'm still getting up to speed on that.
I've forgotten how to use all the image tools that are in PowerPoint.
