Major topics in this course include:
  • Drawing & Objects
  • More with Images
  • Slide Transitions
  • Miscellaneous Tips & Tricks

We will begin this class by learning more about the Drawing Toolbar, and working with Drawing Objects. We'll talk about the Grid and Guidelines, learn more about AutoShapes, transparency, colors & folls, rotations, arrowheads, and more.

We'll learn about different drawing techniques, such as bring-to-front and send-to-back, how to group and ungroup collections of objects, align and distribute, rotate and flip, and nudge.

We'll take a few minutes to talk about using WordArt in PowerPoint. Yes, I cover WordArt in detail in my Word classes, but here I'll just show you how to use it in your slides.

Next we'll learn just about everything there is to know about using pictures and other images in PowerPoint. We'll learn how to convert from color to grayscale or black & white, washout, brightness and contrast, cropping, and rotations. We'll learn how to compress our images so our PowerPoint files don't get huge. We'll learn how to create images with transparent backgrounds, and lots more.

Next we'll learn all about the different Slide Sorter options. We'll cover the Outlining Toolbar in depth. Then we'll study Slide Transitions where you can have different effects like fades and wipes take place when you move from slide-to-sllide in your presentation.

Vertical Blinds Transition

We'll learn how to hide slides, and set up custom shows, so you can give different presentations to different audiences. We'll learn about Slide Timings, so you can have your slides advance at specific intervals. Lots more.

Next, we have a ton of miscellaneous topics to cover that didn't fit into other lessons. We'll learn about password protecting your presentations, other PowerPoint templates, AutoRecover information, presentation tips (like blanking the screen, using the pen to write stuff on the screen, etc.) See the Teacher's Outline for a complete list of everything we cover. Too much to list here!
